An evening of Jazz and originals with Steve Kalling and Steven Gores

Join us for this great mix of musical genre! Carson and Steve have created music together for over two years. After a brief hiatus, they are coming together once again with their unique and inspiring compositions. The experience of these two talents; the mood inducing cello combined with the rhythmic talents of Steve on keys creates a deep and moving sound. Steven Gores first heard Madron at an open mic. Incredibly original and new, Steve asked them to join him for the songwriter series at SpaceOneEleven in Helena. Steven Gores, composer on keyboards and synthesizers has been involved in music in the Helena area--and across the state for over nine years. "Madrona hails from Elliston ( just over the pass). Jake Till and Amanda Kinsey have performed together for 12 years. Their work is a combined indie-folk, country and chorale. They have a sound uniquely their own."

Steven Gores plays a private performance of classic jazz pieces at a local retirement home to bring light and comfort to seniors. This is a private event.

Steven Gores will be playing with Captain Wilson Conspiracy ( Steve Kalling, D R Halsell and Ed Stalling). Potsketch features drawings, mixed media works and an assortment of incredible ceramic art generously donated from over one hundred local, national, and international artists. Join the Peripherals for an evening of live jazz to complement your evening dinging and/or food adventure. The Peripherals was originally formed by Helena Sax player Cole Bass and keyboardist Steven Gores. They often feature other local musicians to round out the sound. Tonight will be the highly regarded Helena brothers Jeremy and Jason Slead on drums and bass, respectively. On Broadway graciously hosts this event and so there is no cover charge.

I will be joining international vocalist/instrumentalist, songwriter Pan Morigan & author, actress and poet Andrea Hairston . We will offer songs created on the spot, never heard before, never to be heard again, originals, and jazz-folk-roots music in multiple tongues for the days we're livin' through. Andrea will mix it up, reading/performing from her stupendous, forthcoming novel, Master of Poisons. (Tor.com, fall 2020) We'll spin and stir our voices, words, melodies, improvisations, passion, magic, wildness, radiance, and defiance.
